Essay Competition

In this writing competition, we invite Sciences Po Paris students to submit an original policy article of 800-1000 words analyzing a current issue linked to the theme of “Meeting Future Security Challenges”. Essay topics can be broad, such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Food Security, Global Terrorism, Rising Powers, or anything which requires a global, regional or local policy response.

An expert panel consisting of Manuel Lafont Rapnouil (Head of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) Paris Office & Senior Policy Fellow), Olivier de France (Research Director of the Institut des Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS)), Ulrike Esther Franke (Policy Fellow at ECFR Berlin) and Etienne de Durand (Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Security Studies Center at the French Institute for International Relations (Ifri)) will judge the essays.

The three winners will be awarded prizes and will be invited to present their ideas at a public award ceremony with invited experts.
